Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms: ‘We’ and or ‘Us’ means ECS Safety & Training who will provide you with the courses/training your ordered. ‘You’ means the customer receiving the courses or the person that has booked the course. ‘Enrol’ means the process of enrolling, booking or ordering a course and the term Enrolment shall be construed accordingly. If you order via the website this will involve you completing the relevant Order form on the website, giving us your personal information and submitting the details to us. You can also order by telephone giving us your payment details and agreeing to proceed with purchase. Phone calls are not recorded where credit card details are taken. Existing commercial customers may avail of a 30-day account based on providing a PO (purchase order) number, accounts must be kept up to date to avail of this service.
2. Provision of Courses
Once you have booked you will receive confirmation of your booking and it will be delivered to you as per this confirmation. This confirmation is automatic for online bookings and usually within an hour for all others. ECS Safety & Training reserve the right to deliver course materials in any format. ECS Safety & Training reserve the right to cancel a training course. If the course is cancelled, ECS Safety & Training will make contact with the client or client representative and rebook the participant into a future course. If the dates of the rebooked (further) course does not suit the clients the course fee will be fully refunded to the entity that paid the original course fee.
3. Course Fee
The course fee covers all charges including documentation, administration, certification and moderation. Certain instructor courses will include lunch, information on lunch will be provided in your booking form.
4. Classroom delivery only
For class-based training, should there be insufficient numbers to run this course at the dates booked learners will be moved to the next available dates. ECS Safety & Training reserves the right to change course dates and delivery times without any prior notification or agreement. If dates do not suit, we will endeavour to arrange dates that suit or ECS Safety & Training will provide a refund.
5. Online course Terms and Conditions only
Once your name has been confirmed you will be directed to the suite of courses. All course(s) that you have a licence for will appear in the ‘Your Courses’ section. Other courses are available to purchase from the purchase page by clicking the ‘More Courses’ tab.
To commence with your course, click the ‘Open’ button to the right of the course description where you will be presented with a welcome video. The courses have a series of modules, and videos, usually with questions at the end. Each module has a required pass percentage that must be achieved to complete the course and access a certificate which you can download.
Note: You will get three chances to achieve a pass on each module which you are able to reset online yourself. Should you fail a module more than three times you will then have to contact your ECS Safety & Training or business admin to arrange a module reset (unlock). There is a maximum of three module resets per course are allowed. If after three module resets another module is failed, then the course will be permanently locked (failed). If you fail a course, you will have to purchase another course licence and restart.
After a course is successfully completed, a ‘Get Your Certificate’ button will become available. Use this to download your certificate in PDF format. All certificates are saved to your account and can be re-downloaded at any point from your profile page. Any practical’s required to complete your chosen course and receive your full certificate will upon completion of your theory course be arranged by ECS Safety & Training via your email provided to us on your profile page.

If technical problems stop, you from accessing the content you have purchased our support team will try to help you resolve the problem. You are required to have sufficient and functioning internet connection and equipment to enable you to view video files delivered over the internet. Providing you have the required connection and equipment, and we are unable to resolve the problem for you, you will receive a full refund. Any used content is that for which a course certificate has been issued will not constitute a refund.
We may approve a refund request provided the student meets the following requirements:
- All students must notify us in writing their desire to cancel a course within 24hrs after paying for a course online to bookings@ecs-safetytraining.ie as long as the course has not been entered or completed.
- Online courses cannot be transferred to another student.
6. Your Rights to Cancel
Cancellation/Refund conditions/arrangements.
Cancellations must be made in writing to bookings@ecs-safetytraining.ie and reach the ECS Safety & Training prior to the start of a course subject to the following:
- 10% of the full course fee will be charged on cancellations received from date of booking up to 15 calendar days of the start date.
- 50% of the full course fee will be charged on cancellations received between 14 and 6 calendar days of the start date.
- Regrettably no refunds / cancellations can be made within 5 days before the start date of the course; you can however transfer to another date provided you contact ECS Safety & Training in writing at least 48 hours prior to course start date, excluding bank holiday, Saturday and Sunday
